Our local news station, CFJC-TV stopped by on Thursday, December 28 for an interview!
I had submitted a “news” item to their cfjctoday.com website last week... alluding to a “feel-good” story at this Christmas time of year. Like most contact forms on websites, I did not expect a reply. After we returned from Christmas on the coast with family, I had an email from Adam Donnelly of CFJC-TV saying he was interested in the story! The next day, he was in our kitchen with his camera and asking thoughtful questions. We “winged-it”... this is a bit outside of our comfort zone, but we can’t help but talk passionately when it comes to Luke! Adam was genuinely thrilled for our family. The feature aired later that day on the 5:00 and 6:00 o’clock news. It was fun to see ourselves on TV, with a little clip of the four of us watching our friend “Eric the Red” on tv spelling out his winning contest poem!
Adam was hoping to “hear” Luke’s voice too, so we are arranging for a follow-up interview with Madison in late February when Luke will get to spell his thoughts on the interview and his message for everyone! Super proud of Luke, and Joel was awesomely supportive too!
